Find impulse responses
Wavesoniq does not come with impulse responses, but many are free on the web. A good place to start is Voxengo, which has about 40 rooms, halls and caves as WAV files.
- Download the ZIP file and unzip it on your computer.
- Press LOAD IR… in the reverb and choose a WAV file from the folder.
- Try several until you find one you like. If the tail is too long, lower LENGTH.
What to search for: “free impulse response”, “free reverb impulse responses WAV”, “hall impulse response”, “plate reverb impulse response” or “cathedral impulse response”.
The terms differ from collection to collection, so read them before you use an IR in something you publish. Wavesoniq does not supply any impulse responses.
